Sashimori is two or more kinds of sashimi arranged on a single plate, etc. A shortened form of “Sashimi no moriawase” (sashimi platter).

Among them, “sashimori” served in a wooden or plastic boat-shaped container is called “funamori,” and those with the head and tail of the fish included are also called “Sugata mori / sugata-zukuri.

Generally, “sashimori” is an assortment of sashimi of fish, shellfish, and other seafood, but there are also sashi-mori of meat, such as horse meat (basashi) and hormone (variety meat).
