Curry udon is a menu / recipe for udon noodles, using curry-flavoured soup as the broth.
It is one of the Japanese noodle dishes.
There are many variations and combinations of appearance, flavour and ingredients, depending on the region, restaurant, household or cook of the dish, but it is made by adding curry powder, curry roux or spices such as cumin, turmeric, cloves and pepper to a Japanese soup stock made from dried bonito, mackerel flakes or the like, and using onions, Japanese onions and other vegetables as ingredients, Carrots, pork, beef, chicken and mushrooms are often used. Some toppings, such as tempura prawns, are also used.
